Independent contractor for FedEx Ground package delivery using vans traveling rural and some urban areas so need to be comfortable driving on gravel roads during all conditions. We are looking for employees who want to drive Mondays thru Fridays and for flexible drivers who want to drive one to three days per week including Saturdays. Need to be able to lift or handle packages up to 150 pounds with good driving record. Prior commercial driving experience preferred and must be 21 and able to pass drug testing. Vehicles dispatched out of south Bismarck terminal on a daily basis with typical day starting at 7-7:30 and ending when all packages are delivered for an average of an 8-10 hour workday. Must be able to perform pre-trip and safety inspections, insure safe and timely delivery of packages to customer, secure freight in vans using proper loading techniques, verify and complete required documentation and reports, follow dispatch instructions and perform other duties as assigned. Those hired part-time will have first shot at moving to full-time as positions open up based on seniority.
